“The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship visited the Northeast for round 10 in New Berlin, New York, at historic Unadilla MX. Traveling to this round is one of the toughest for flying because there are about four to five different airports you can fly into, but no matter which you chose you’re going to have at least an hour drive to the track at best, with a few of the other options almost three hours away. There’s literally nothing near the track and I think the closest hotel chains are a solid 45 minute drive, but the beauty of upstate New York is hard to beat and the course at Unadilla is one of the best for shooting, with big jumps and deep ruts all day long. Dilla also has some of the most iconic obstacles on the circuit with the Gravity Cavity, the Sky Shot, and Screw U, so there are plenty of interesting features that other tracks don’t have. The morning practice sessions are usually a whip fest over on the Sky Shot, although this year was a little tough with the face being super rutted out, but a few savages sent it for the fans and photographers that gathered on the hill early Saturday morning. Ryan Dungey cruised to another 1-1 performance to pretty much put a stamp on the 2015 outdoor title with a 79 point lead over Justin Barcia heading into the final two rounds. In the 250 class it seems to go back and forth every weekend, with Marvin Musquin coming out ahead of Jeremy Martin this week at Unadilla. With just two points separating the American and the French rider and only two rounds to go, expect some fireworks and awesome racing these next two weekends! Enjoy the Bangers!” —TWMX photographer Ryne Swanberg
