“The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship headed west for the 11th round at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. This race is pretty unique just because of the venue. Miller Motosports Park is truly a park for a motorsports enthusiasts with a full road race course, supermoto course, and go-karts, along with the massive man-made motocross track that’s located inside of the road race course. The track was pretty much built for the National a few years ago, and it seems to get better every year with quite a few changes. The mountains in the background are a welcoming sight for photos after a very long season of shooting mostly the same stuff. But even with the great mountain backdrop, it’s still one of the toughest places to shoot because the weather conditions are usually pretty gnarly in the desert. It was interesting to hear a lot of riders express their displeasure for the track, stating it was too rough and unsafe in some spots. Ryan Dungey clinched the 2015 450 title with a 1-1 performance over Ken Roczen that saw the two battle it out over 30 seconds ahead of Justin Barcia in third. In the 250 class it was Jeremy Martin over Marvin Musquin to keep his red plate and a two point lead heading into the final round. Enjoy the Bangers!” —TWMX photographer Ryne Swanberg
