The Monster Energy Supercross Series has rolled back into downtown San Diego for round six of the series, set to take place this weekend at PetCo Park. This is the final time the tour will be in SoCal for the year, and it’s hard to believe we’re already so far into the series. It’s almost time for the 250 West Coast SX class to take a break, with only two races left on their schedule before an extended hiatus as the series heads off to the East Coast. Expect plenty of action in these next few motos from guys anxious to make their make in the small-bore ranks.

Because San Diego is such a military city (the Air Force, Navy, and Marines all have outposts within miles of downtown) Feld has dedicated this event to be the Military Appreciation round. Teams have gotten involved with the theme over the last three years, and 2016 will feature plenty of custom graphics, gear, and special touches. We spent a good portion of Thursday at PetCo Park getting interviews and shooting images; here’s part one of our press day coverage….
