In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
It would appear that the move to the East Coast from Southern California for Team Honda HRC's Cole Seely has begun to pay off. Seely's results this outdoor season have stepped up tremendously with a third place in the first moto at Washougal, but his best result to date came just one week later at the 2017 Unadilla National in the form of a podium finish! The So.Cal boy laid the hammer down in the muddy conditions and walked away with his best premier class outdoor result to date; a third overall.
Seely is widely regarded to be one of the top athletes in the 450 class, but since his move to FL to train alongside the likes of Adam Cianciarulo, Chase Sexton, and teammate Christian Craig, the #14 has been able to put more focus and energy into his training regimen than ever before. The big news right now for Seely, though, is that the Team Honda HRC rider has been chosen to represent Team USA at the upcoming MXoN alongside Thomas Covington and Zach Osborne. However, until then, Seely has his sights set on the final two rounds of the 2017 Pro Motocross Championship; especially after gaining some momentum at the last two rounds.
