In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
We got our hands on the 2017 KTM 350 SX-F a few weeks ago and to be honest, it is one of the most amazing bikes we have ever ridden. It’s surprising that no one on the Red Bull KTM team races one full time in Supercross, as the bike has a ton of power and is totally competitive against a 450 in the right hands. When it came time to shoot out pinup poster for the October issue, we had a couple options when it came to the bike to feature and though we have a pretty dialed-in Suzuki RM-Z250 in the garage, we elected to build up the 350 SX-F instead. Seeing as it’s not included in our 450 Shootout comparison, we don’t have to keep it stock until the shootout, which is a couple months away.
For the shoot, we headed to Compton, California, to visit our friends at FMF Racing, who were kind enough to let us use the dyno room for our shoot. Needless to say, the workers in the FMF factory were pretty pumped when our model paraded back and forth through the production area in her swimwear. You’ll have to wait for the October issue to see the ridiculously good-looking model we selected to stand next to our KTM, so for now, you’ll just have to drool over the bike!
