In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory...
There’s plenty of fight left in Chad Reed. The Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha rider proved that in his heat race war with Ryan Dungey for the final transfer spot to the main event at Indianapolis. Reed’s veteran wit and racecraft kept him in control of the battle from start to finish, and that slow down to block pass move he pulled to retake the position after a quick exchange with Dungey is something that only a certain few in the world could pull off so well. That move alone was worth the standing ovation he received from fans at Lucas Oil Stadium. This year hasn’t quite gone the way many expected for 22, but the speed and skill can change things up at a moment’s notice. Could it happen in the final rounds of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series?
