In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory...
It seems like it was just yesterday that Red Bull KTM's Ryan Dungey wrapped up the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series at the finale in Las Vegas, NV. Obviously that's not the case, but here we are preparing for yet another exciting Supercross Series with the addition of the newly implemented racing format and points payout system the 2018 racing season should be one for the books!
As of this moment, it would appear that Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac and Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin have all of the momentum in the premier class, however, anything can happen from now until Anaheim One. Tomac is fresh off his first Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, as well as a victory at the MXGP of USA, while the Frenchman just wrapped up a million dollar win at the Monster Energy Cup right before taking his second Red Bull Straight Rhythm title. And as for the 250 Class, well, that's anyone's game right now since many racers are still undecided as to which coast they will be racing on, but the 2017 champions – Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna's Zach Osborne and AutoTrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing's Justin Hill – will be the ones to watch.
By the way… I’m pretty stoked that my camera didn’t get pelted by all that 450 roost!
