In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We’ll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
The 12 rounds of outdoor motocross national madness have concluded for 2017. It's been a wild ride even for us spectators and fans with all of the great racing action throughout the series, but it was Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac that emerged on top of the premier class. Tomac's career-first 450cc outdoor title wasn't easily earned, though, as he experienced his fair share of bad luck and adversity. The same could be said for Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna's Zach Osborne, as he too wrapped up his first 250cc outdoor motocross championship, but not before overcoming a few obstacles along the way.
That's what makes a champion, though. Consistently conquering challenges along with the lows that are associated with professional motocross racing can make for one tough competitor, and this sport has clearly had that affect of these two champions. Each of these riders have all the momentum in the world, now, so 2018 may get interesting!
