In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…

To win an event like the Motocross Of Nations is something only few professional riders will ever experience. I was lucky enough to literally feel the noise and cheers that the crowd was making when I snapped this photo, and can only hope it portrays some of the emotion team France was feeling. When Romain Febvre led the way to the overall event win by winning the third and final moto last year it was a true moment for the French locals and fans. As a journalist you are supposed to separate emotion from reporting, but I can honestly say I was genuinely stoked for France (even being an American!) and could truly feel the pride involved with their win through the eyes and cheers of those around me. Lets hope the competition this year is just as close, and stay tuned here for all the news while the world celebrates our love for motocross racing!
