In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting Team Honda's 2018 lineup of athletes at the team's introduction at their private Supercross testing grounds. Around this time each year, several of the top factory teams host team introductions, as it allows for the media to get some one-on-one time with the riders for interviews, photos, video, etc. I was fortunate enough to be tasked with photo duties on this particular day, and I was really excited about it because I also hadn't seen much of the Honda boys at the local practice tracks; especially Ken Roczen.
Prior to the day's action on the test track, I noticed Roczen at one of the high-pressure sprinklers that are used to water the track, and just as he started to lay down some moisture I quickly ran over and snapped this photo. No, it's not some super crazy, action-filled photo, however, I do like the simplicity of this shot. Only a man and a racetrack! Click HERE for more coverage from the 2018 Team Honda Introduction.
