In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
"Photo of the Day" featuring RCH/Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John’s/Suzuki Factory Racing’s Ken Roczen.
When Germany’s Ken Roczen hit the American circuit part-time in 2011, he became an instant global favorite. He brought an exciting attitude, raw natural speed, and the ability to maneuver his bike around in ways most professionals can’t. After wrapping up the MX2 championship later that year in Europe, Roczen set his sights on America for 2012. It took some time before the young German became familiar with his new competition and all the new tracks, but once he did, he became a real threat. Fast forward four years is back as a title contender in the premiere class in the 2016 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season on his RCH/Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John’s/Suzuki Factory Racing’s Ken Roczen.
Last weekend in Oakland, California, Kenny was feelin’ good during practice as he was showing Ryne Swanberg’s camera the drain plug on his bike.
