In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…
Round three of the 2017 TWMX El Dorado Series, presented by SPY, took place last weekend at Milestone MX Park and one of the many notable riders that came out to do battle was Kawasaki Team Green’s Dilan Schwartz. At only 14 years old, this young racer encompasses a technique and skill set far beyond his years, and it makes for a good time from my side of the lens because this kid is a blast to shoot. Not to mention he always has one of the cleanest gear setups out there!
The number 74 of Schwartz racked up a total of six moto wins at the third stop of the El Dorado tour, and he did so in dominant fashion. After the racing had concluded for the day, I spoke with Schwartz regarding his riding that day and he said, “I wish we had a little more time on the track because as soon as I start to feel comfortable the white flag comes out (laughs).” Did I mention that he even accumulated a lead of over 25 seconds by the end of one of his five lap motos? Not bad for a teenager, right? Keep an eye out for young Dilan Schwartz because pretty soon he’ll be making some noise in the big bike classes!
