Now that the offseason is here, we've got some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the years. We'll highlight each shot with a daily post, with wallpapers sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described by a small backstory...
I’ve been friends with Brian Deegan since he was a privateer, racing for the Chaparral Race Team on a Honda CR125R. I remember watching him during practice at the Gainesville 125 National, and laughing as he did no-handers and no-legged whips over almost every jump…apparently that was a prelude of things to come. Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the better part of the past two decades, Deegan’s career needs no summary. What’s more interesting these days, is the career that his son, Hayden, seems set to enjoy. One of the fastest mini racers around, Hayden – or Danger Boy, as he’s known – has everything at his fingertips to become a very successful pro racer some day.
I snapped this shot of Brian and Hayden earlier this year after we used one of Brian’s KTM 450 SX-F bikes for a pinup poster. I’ve got two daughters and am thrilled with the time I spend with them doing things other than moto, but for an instant as I watched these two having fun, jumping side by side…I was jealous.
