In between races, we took some time to browse our hard drives and look at photos taken throughout the year. We'll highlight each shot in a daily post, with the image sized to fit your computer screen or smartphone and described with a small backstory…

Man, what an impressive summer for your recently crowned Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 450 Class champion. To say that he dominated is an understatement, and watching Kenny Roczen slice through some of the gnarliest tracks in America sure was fun. Riders always put an emphasis on setup, and there’s no denying that him and his RCH/Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John's/Suzuki Factory Racing bike were working well together to wrap out his contract with the team and his summer championship. Certain times when you’re shooting a rider, you can pick out a section or shoot something specific that they’re doing something special on, and hope to capture just that in an image. Such was the case while I was shooting him in Florida at “The Nest” for our newly released October issue of the mag. Kenny was on rails, and his corner speed was certainly on another level. Lap after lap he was hitting the entrance of this corner so fast that his front forks would essentially bottom out, and it was cool to capture that moment with my lens. I can’t wait for people to pick up their copies of the magazine to check out the full feature and see what shots made it in!
