Baja California Mexico is one of the best stops on the tour, but it's also one of the most brutal! The JM2 team worked hard all weekend and put fast trucks on the track every session. Jeremy had this to say about the weekend and the race conditions:
"I love coming to Estero Beach Resort with my family, teammates, and friends. We look forward to this race and the awesome fans here in Baja. I feel like every year its one easy race day and one tough day. We started off the weekend with a fast truck and qualified 2nd. Everything was going great in the race and then we suffered a steering problem and the day was over just like that. It's one of those things with racing that never gets any easier to deal with, but you just accept it and prepare for the next. Today (Sunday) was much better. I stayed up front and close to the leaders, I pushed my # 1 Maxxis Tires, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Safecraft safety equipment Pro 2 hard all day. The roost down here is nasty and makes it difficult to pass, so 3 rd was the best I could manage today. I'll be ready to charge hard at the next Lucas Oil Off Road race in Wheatland."
The Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team would like to thank all the great fans in Baja, the staff at Estero Beach Resort, The Maxxis Tires Crew for being on point and having tires ready to go, the Lucas Oil staff for a great track and the entire Ampudia Family for everything they do to make this weekend such a great experience!
