UNIT is excited to announce the newest addition to its athlete family, Japanese FMX superstar Taka Higashino.

A packed schedule will see the experienced rider run UNIT Armatech gear in competitions and shows across the globe.

Taka is one of the true mainstay's of FMX. His professional career in the sport began in 2006, at which time he moved from Osaka to the US to base himself in the riding heartland of California.

An X Games regular since 2007, he has a swag of medals to his name – including 3 gold – along with numerous other accolades in X Fighters, the Dew Tour, Nitro World Games and more.

His outgoing personality and style on the bike has seen him build a legion of fans across the globe, and he said he was excited to represent the brand and join a talent-packed FMX roster.

"I'm stoked to be a part of the UNIT brand," said Taka. "UNIT has a long history in action sport and the new range not only looks good but is amazing to ride in.

"2019 will be a big year with lots of events and opportunities to take UNIT to the fans.

"I can't wait to work with the UNIT team further on some great new projects."

Taka joins the likes of Robbie Maddison, Harry Bink, Corey Creed and Emma McFerran in UNIT's FMX stable of athletes.
