The 2015 TransWorld Motocross Fall Classic has officially made it to round three. The third stop on the circuit invaded the confines of Los Angeles County Raceway for another action packed weekend of racing. Tons of great racing was had, but not without LACR's challenging new layout, which kept riders on their toes throughout the day. And the same goes for the weather, which was another obstacle that racers had to endure. In the midst of the Fall Classic, we're still experiencing temperatures in the 90s, however that looks to be a different story, as the Inland Empire may experience a bit of rain when we visit Perris Raceway next Sunday for round four of the seven round series.
The intense racing never let up at round three, as every rider on the gate not only had to go to battle with the treacherous track, but with their competitors, as well. One of the riders that handled the rough conditions the best was professional Supercross/motocross racer, Zach Bell. Bell made the trek up to LACR and managed to go home with a clean moto sweep in Pro-Open with Jake Moknike finishing up in second with a 3-2 moto score. The 460 Yamaha of Mohnike also went home with a two-moto sweep, but in 450 Pro. Deegan Von Lossberg was another Yamaha ripper to finish with some great results, as he won both motos of 250 Pro. Tristen Morts and Patrick Bennett exchanged moto wins in 450 Intermediate, but it was Morts that came out on top with a 1-2 for the overall. J.Y. Leavitt was the man to beat in Open (Non-Pro) and 250 Intermediate, as he won all four motos for both overalls. Leavitt just beat out Tylor Matcham who finished in a close second. Matcham wasn’t done, though, as he made a clean sweep in Schoolboy Thru 17 with Rene Garcia finishing in second.
We hope to see you at round four of the TWMX Fall Classic, which will be held at Perris Raceway on October 18th. See you there!
