2015 TWMX Fall Classic | Milestone MX

We're officially two rounds into the 2015 TransWorld Motocross Fall Classic and already looking forward to round three of the seven race series. A record breaking 700+ riders entered the gates this weekend to try their hand at a first place trophy. Let's not forget about this summer heat, either! The high 90 temperatures were amongst the many obstacles today on top of one of the roughest Milestone MX race tracks we've ever seen. That's the name of the game, though, when over 700 of Southern California's fastest racers literally tear up a motocross track.

Renton Minuto rode nothing less than consistent at round two of the Fall Classic. Minuto

Renton Minuto rode nothing less than consistent at round two of the Fall Classic. Minuto swept both motos of Schoolboy for the overall and finished with a score of 2-1 for another overall win in 250 Intermediate.

Vendor row had all the goodies again, as Bell Helmets stayed for the weekend's festivities to show the Fall Classic riders what some of the best helmets in the game are like. BTO Sports was on hand, as well, with everything from pit boards and umbrellas to lanyards and moto-mats. Nearly everything needed for a day of racing was in stock on vendor row.

The good people of Bell Helmets toughed out the heat to make sure that word of their Bell Moto-9 Flex was seen by everyone in vendor row.

Yamaha ripper Jake Mohnike

Yamaha ripper Jake Mohnike was another rider to lay down a clean moto sweep. Mohnike went home with overalls in Pro-Open and two moto victories in 450 Pro.

Once the racing got underway and the 700+ riders hit the race tracks, the excitement was at an all time high, as fans and family members cheered on their favorite riders. Yamaha rider Renton Minuto had a very consistent day of racing. The Avalon, CA native put on a clinic in both motos of Schoolboy (thru 17) for the overall and finished with a 2-1 for another overall in 250 Intermediate, as he just edged out fellow YZ rider, Tyler Rosa. Jake Mohnike was another Yamaha rider to have a solid day of results, as he won the overall in Pro-Open and swept both motos of 450 Pro for a total of three moto wins. Tristen James and Kai Mukai pulled out all the stops in 250 Pro, but it was the 309 of James who ultimately edged out the "Flyin Hawaiian" for the overall with a final score of 1-2. Trevor Hooten also made a clean sweep of the blazing fast 450 Intermediate division, as he cleaned house with both moto wins.

Trevor Hooten had a solid day of results, as he finished with a third overall in 250 Intermediate. He turned that around, though, once the gate dropped for 450 Intermediate with a clean sweep of both motos.

We hope to see you at the third round of the 2015 TWMX Fall Classic, which will be held at LA County Raceway on the 11th of October.
