That's a wrap for the 2016 TWMX El Dorado Nationals. The series was a complete success, and a big thanks to all who made it possible. The final round of the five round series was hosted at LACR with the sandy, outdoor-style motocross track delivering some rough conditions. It was going to take a lot more than that to slow down a few hundred race-hungry riders, though. The man-made hills of Los Angeles County Raceway provide for an experience nearly unmatched with Southern California racetracks, so we figured the Palmdale, CA facility would be the best way to cap off the first race series of the year.

It always great to have the race series' sponsors at each round, and this weekend the good people at Next Components brought out all the big guns. All under one roof were tool boxes, bike stands, cleaning solutions, tie-downs and just about anything you'll ever need for your truck, trailer or garage. And of course the EKS Brand Goggles crew made the trek up to the high desert for the finale with all sorts of goggles and accessories. Not to mention those Taylor boys have something to prove on the racetrack these days.

The EKS Brand Goggle family always brings the style to the races.

As you can see, just about everything a motocross racer could ever ask for was on hand at LACR thanks to the good people at Next Components.

Richard "LRT" Taylor was on a heater this weekend, as he nearly went undefeated. "LRT" swept both motos of Open (Non-Pro) and a 2-1 score in 450 Intermediate was enough for another overall win. Haruki Yokoyama absolutely lit up the Schoolboy and 250 Intermediate classes by going undefeated on his way to both overall victories. In 250 Pro, it was Yamaha's Bradley Taft who took home the overall with both moto wins, and one more set of race wins was added to his resume, as he also swept Pro-Open. 450 Pro was another exciting race thanks to Jeremy Byrne and Sean Lipanovich. The 505 of Lipanovich was credited with multiple holeshots throughout the day, but it was Byrne who emerged the victor with both moto wins. The sweet sounds of two-strokes filled the air this afternoon, as the 125 two-stroke open racers lined up and got down to business with Tylor Matcham and his YZ 125 taking home the overall with both moto wins.

To go undefeated in any class is something to be proud of, and we think Haruki Yokoyama should be more than proud for going undefeated in Schoolboy and 250 Intermediate.
