The pro classes at the Transworld Race Series have grown since the beginning of the year with several riders hitting most of the rounds.  Kevin Weisbruch has been one of the riders that has been one of the pro class riders that has put in some strong rides throughout the year.  Fitting in as many races as possible around his busy schedule of national caliber races, he has many podium finishes as well as moto wins.  At the fourth round of the Fall Series, Kevin brought home a pair of 2nd place overalls in the Pro Open class and the 450 Pro class.
How did you get started riding motocross?
My neighbors actually got me into it, they had a track in their back yard and they had an XR70 they let me ride.  I’ve been hooked ever since.
How long ago was that?
That was about 9 years ago.
How long have you been racing the pro class?
I just went pro about 11 months ago.
In your first year in the class, how has it gone?
It’s been pretty good, some races could have gone better.  The local races are going good and most of the nationals.  Overall it’s been going good and I’m looking forward to next year.
What national events did you do this year?
This year we went to World Mini, Mammoth, Ponca, Loretta’s and we also went up to Hangtown for the Dodge race.  I also tried to race the pro national at Lake Elsinore as well.
What results this year stand out the most for you?
I would say Ponca, that went really good this year.  Overalls don’t show it because we had some bike problems, but we had a lot of seconds and thirds so that was good, probably the best one for me so far.
What is your biggest accomplishment in racing so far?
I would say Loretta’s in 2011, I got a 4th in 450 B Mod.  That was my first year there and that was awesome for me and my dad and everyone.
What is it that drives you to race?
I just like how fun it is and I like the competition.  No one is pushing me to ride, I’m more just riding for myself.  I always try to keep it fun.  I love it!
What else do you do besides motocross?
I don’t too much besides riding and training.  I hang out with my friends a lot.  I will go long boarding around my house but that’s about it.
What do you think about the Transworld Race Series?
I love it!  It’s the best series out there right now.  Nothing else compares, there’s always a ton of entries and good competition.
