TWMXRS Terra Firma Series | Round Four | Glen Helen Raceway
Round four of the TWMX Terra Firma series is officially in the books, as we ventured out to legendary Glen Helen Raceway this past weekend. The San Bernardino facility is one of the more favored tracks in the series, due to the fast pace and extreme elevation changes. We've experienced some hot race days during the Terra Firma series, as it's the summer series put on by Transworld Motocross. However, despite the scorching heat, nearly 450 racers filtered through Glen Helen's gates and prepared for battle. The Open 85-150F/Supermini class is one of the most exciting and stacked classes at the TWMX Race Series, and that has held true throughout the Terra Firma series. Twenty-four youngsters lined up for the Supermini motos at round four of the series, which made the class not only one of the largest of the day, but also one of the most competitive. Despite facing some talented competition, Joshua Varize put his KTM on top in both motos. The ripper out of Perris, CA practically led each moto from start to finish, not to mention finishing with a 15+ second lead. Great ride, Joshua! Tyler Nicholson was on another level at round four of the Terra Firma series, as he dominated each moto he lined up for. The number 710 machine raced in both the School Boy(125/250F) and 125cc Open classes, where he executed four wins in dominant fashion. Tyler not only swept two classes, but he also put on a show for the spectators as he held his KTM 125cc pinned around the tricky course. After some bike issues at the third round of the series, TWMXRS regular Dylan Gaszak returned to Glen Helen in hopes of some better luck. The shredder out of Lakeside, CA put the previous tough luck behind him and dominated each and every moto he raced. Dylan practically led each of his four motos from start to finish and swept both the Open Non-Pro and Intermediate 450F classes.
