The Supermini classes at the 2017 Mini Major provided some of the best racing of the weekend. With a stacked field of talented young athletes piloting the biggest bikes at the all-kids event, it isn’t too surprising to see great action. In total, there were three 85cc/150f Supermini classes, and although many racers competed in all three, the Supermini 1 class was the premiere event. Talon Hawkins was a top-five competitor all weekend, and arguably threw the biggest whips of any of the 794 racers in attendance. On Sunday, the final day of the Mini Major, we approached Hawkins about mounting up our GoPro to his helmet and he was all for it. Not only did Hawkins race to a respectable fifth, he also captured some epic mini racing footage.
