If you’re a privateer in the 250 class, lining up for the West Coast portion of the Monster Energy Supercross Series is an easy decision. With three races held in Southern California and the rest within a reasonable driving distance, it’s far easier on the wallet than the constant north to south travel of the East Coast schedule. No doubt that played a part in Chase Marquier’s decision for the 2017 season. This will be the second year of professional racing for the Oklahoman, and aside from some close sponsors like Ride365.com, it’ll be an independent effort in the competitive class.
