Last week the CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha team announced that Martin Castelo would race in place of the injured Hayden Mellross during the middle portion of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. For Castelo, the ride is a chance to race through the summer months, as his initial plans were to only race the initial West Coast rounds with the support of the IBCorp Racing team. During some downtime at the 2018 Thunder Valley Motocross, we spent a few minutes talking with Castelo about the move to the CycleTrader/Rock River Yamaha team and the challenges that a rider from South America faces when they come to the United States.
