An agreement between GEICO Honda and Team Honda HRC allowed full-time 250 class racer Jeremy Martin to make a special appearance in the 450 class during the first three rounds of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series. To make sure Martin had some of the best equipment in the class, Team Honda HRC loaned a full-factory Honda CRF450R to the team and allowed them to outfit with parts from the official 250 factory team’s sponsors (Pro Taper handlebars and sprockets, D’COR Visuals graphics). Even with the increase in power and competition, Martin has placed well in the first two Main Events of the deal, with an eleventh place finish at the 2018 Anaheim One Supercross and a tenth place finish at the 2018 Houston Supercross. He will conclude his term in the class this weekend at the 2018 Anaheim Two Supercross and then turn his attention to the upcoming 250 East Coast portion of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
