This past Monday, we attended a press conference in Salt Lake City, Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium for the announcement of the inaugural Nitro World Games. Created by Travis Pastrana and Michael Porra, the Nitro World Games will take action sports to a whole new level, and it’s set to be held on July 27th at Rice-Eccles. Broadcast live on NBC, the three-hour event will feature the most innovative course in action sports history as top athletes from Freestyle Motocross, BMX, Skate, Inline and Scooter all compete for Gold Medals. We had a little sit down interview with Travis to get his take on the state of FMX, the ideas that spurred the creation of the NWG and to hear what his new role is for the revolutionary event.
