After more than a decade on red, it’ll be interesting to see Trey Canard on a Red Bull KTM for the very first time. The Oklahoman has stayed off the radar for most of the summer due to a concussion sustained in a practice crash but after a lengthy recovery, he’s back on the bike and in the early stages of testing with his new team. Canard opted out of the 2016 Monster Energy Cup and will instead make his competition debut with the team at this weekend’s Red Bull Straight Rhythm.
Before we hit record on the camera, we asked Canard about the rumors that he will now train with Aldon Baker as part of his new contract. He told us that no, he will not relocate to Florida or work with Baker in 2017. He will stay in California for the offseason and early part of the year, then head back to Oklahoma.
