The offseason is here but there are still plenty of races to hit in the next few months. One of the biggest events is the newest on the schedule and will take place next weekend at the Veltins Arena in Germany. Dubbed the Monster Energy SMX Riders Cup, the MXGP-organized race will put selected riders from the major OEMs (Honda, Suzuki, Husqvarna, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, TM) against each other for bragging rights of the fastest brand. When Zach Osborne heard about the SMX, he jumped on the opportunity to represent Husqvarna.
Husqvarna’s original lineup took at hit at the Motocross of Nations, as both Max Nagl and Jason Anderson suffered serious injuries and will not be able to compete. Instead, the brand has selected Thomas Covington and Christophe Charlier to serve as replacements.
